Police have released CCTV footage of a vicious unprovoked bottle attack in a bar which left a man with head injuries.
The victim was talking to a doorman in Atlas bar on Deansgate, Manchester, when a man suddenly attacked him with a bottle from behind.
Bleeding heavily, he staggered out of the bar with several deep lacerations to his head.
His attacker fled with his friends.
Now, eight months after the attack on January 9, police have released shocking CCTV footage of the attack as well as pictures of the victim’s head injuries.
The thug who launched the sickening assault is described as white, stocky and with a shaved head. The name ‘Louis’ was tattooed on the back of his neck.
Det Con Pete Woodbridge said: “This was a completely unprovoked attack.
“The victim was talking to the doorman at the time of the incident and had his back to the offender.
“Our inquiries have has limited results but we have now released some decent CCTV footage, which should enable us to identify the man.
“If you think you recognize the offender, or maybe know somebody with ‘Louis’ tattooed on their neck, please get in touch.”
